Welcome to my DESIGN ARCHIVE, a curated collection showcasing the culmination of three years of projects during my time at SCI-Arc, delving deep into fundamental architectural studies. At the core of this journey lies a profound exploration of geometric principles, serving as the foundational point for generating innovative forms.

Architecture is changing in front of us, as architectural concept thinking is becoming more and more a way to see, understand and operate in the ever-changing world.

As an overall strategy or some kind of pre-meaning, this studio proposes a re-examination of the possibility of architectural thinking applied as an act of dual and parallel scale and augmented behaviors between architecture and health fashion. As an extension of this interest, the studio will focus more specifically on the degree to which body architecture and architecture could be interpreted as an accumulative mutation of interactions, or as having a new potential for integration.

If, traditionally, architecture design was derived from the expertise of form, function, typology, and proportion, the studio proposes an advanced stance toward that tradition: it cannot escape and is thus an evolution of that tradition, but also it challenges what architecture is and should be. The dynamic relationship between the house and the body becomes a tool that pertains to a significant degree to the highest control of the manipulations of those formal strategies. If traditional architecture needed to determine the degree to which a particular project had achieved its extent of beauty, these ‘augmented’ topologies would explore new aesthetic territories.

This studio will use the program of a house as a tool to study the shift towards a paradigm of Species as opposed to the ubiquitous platform of Types. If Types are traditionally viewed as categories of standardization, and symbolic expressions of form, then Species are malleable entities that are in constant metamorphosis; adaptation and mutation are the main characteristics of Species.

The project got inspired from force and motion. When two different mass with similar density engaged, like ink within water or smoke in the air, it will merge, spread, bounce, and wrap. And during the process of spreading, the original shape is blurred by the special motion and it brings the infinity moments of beauty.

/ Concept to Massing

The process could be simulated and applied on human body, it creates the possibility to blur the harmed body and turn imperfection of the body to collateral beauty.

Both of my fashion idea and architecture idea comes from those special moment, and it creates also the relationship between the original shape and the other shape wrapped around. In this way, it generates the spaces in between the two, and in between the wrinkles and fold moments.
